Greenpeak Investment Team – Capital Structure Focus

Key Role Overview

The Debt Financing Analyst will join the Greenpeak Investment Team with a primary focus on supporting the Capital Structure function across the Greenpeak portfolio. The role offers high exposure to complex financing situations, active involvement in buy-and-build strategies, and close collaboration with investment, finance, and external financing partners.

This is a crucial position within Greenpeak’s value creation and M&A-driven growth strategy, offering the opportunity to gradually take on increased responsibility and ownership across financing processes.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Markets & Financing Strategy

Monitoring public and private debt capital markets across instruments, geographies, and investor types
Actively tracking and maintaining Greenpeak’s financing partner universe (banks, private credit funds, alternative lenders)
Supporting the structuring and execution of financing approaches for portfolio companies, including refinancings, acquisition financings, and growth capital solutions

Transaction Support & Execution

Supporting end-to-end debt financing processes, from initial analysis to closing
Preparation of marketing materials (e.g. information memoranda, lender presentations) and supporting quantitative analysis
Detailed cash flow and debt service modelling across different capital structure scenarios
In-depth analysis of debt terms, covenant packages, and documentation, including comparative benchmarking
Supporting the negotiation and review of credit documentation in close coordination with advisors and internal stakeholders
Active involvement in the debt closing process

Portfolio & Credit Monitoring

Maintaining and continuously updating internal databases covering all relevant financing terms, covenants, and conditions
Ongoing credit monitoring and controlling in close collaboration with the investment and finance teams
Supporting compliance with financing agreements and internal reporting requirements

Stakeholder Interaction

Attending meetings and calls with portfolio companies, lenders, advisors, and other financing partners
Acting as a key analytical sparring partner to the Capital Structure and Investment teams

Was Du mitbringst:

Professional Background

At least 2 years of full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or a debt-focused investment fund
Solid exposure to leveraged finance, credit analysis, or structured financing environments
Proven experience in debt advisory, including advising corporates and financial sponsors on financing structures, refinancing, debt restructurings, and interactions with lenders and capital markets participants

Skill Set

Highly analytical with strong quantitative and financial modelling skills
Deep interest in capital structures, financing mechanics, and value creation through smart use of leverage
Comfortable working with complex information and problem-solving beyond standard frameworks
Fluent in German and English. Additional languages are an advantage.
